About Holmhead and Holiday Accommodation on Hadrians Wall
Holmhead near Hadrians Wall is roughly equidistant from Edinburgh and York, on the Cumbrian Northumbrian border and near the Scottish border. Three miles from the exact 'Centre of Britain'. We offer different types of holiday accomodation for people visiting Hadrians Wall from our beautifully situated Bed and Breakfast located in the Heart of Northumberland.
Our bed and breakfast is set close to Hadrians wall in a sheltered valley in the south west corner of England's most northerly National Park, in quiet fields near Thirlwall castle yet less than a mile from Greenhead village on the A69 and B6318 junction.

It has, however, been adapted to a new role over the past few years: no longer a working farm, it is now the home of Pauline and Brian Staff, who take great pleasure in welcoming guests to this delightful old house, with the idea of sharing their knowledge (especially Roman) and enthusiasm for the area, with others.
Formerly a tour guide, Pauline has studied archaeology and local history, specialising on Hadrians Wall, gaining a Diploma at Durham University.

Their object has been to provide the best of both worlds: the easy going friendliness of bed and breakfast in a family home, combined with the standards of comfort and cuisine usually found only in larger hotels. It is an approach which has gained the Staffs a fine reputation. Some holiday suggestions from Pauline Staff.
We also have self catering and camping barns
